1. One at a time
You can either go monochrome with your dress, bag or shoes. Don’t unleash your love for monochrome on all of them together. Do it one at a time. Overdoing monochrome pieces can end up making you look like a human cousin of the zebra. Not a good look. 2. Statement piece
Monochrome (depending on your outfit) can sometimes get very bland. In order to spice things up for your look, wear a statement piece, preferably around your neck. It can either be black, white or a pop colour.3. Clutch it
If your outfit is monochrome, carry a bright, poppy coloured, oversized clutch to add an interesting contrast to your outfit. However, if your clutch is monochrome, try and wear something not very monochrome-like. Too much of matching in your overall look is not fashion forward.
4. Head over heels
A monochrome outfit can make you the cynosure of all eyes when paired with neon coloured heels. Don’t do a chunky pair though; a sleek and simple design works best with shades of neon as the colour is eye-catching. If you have a monochrome pair of heels, wear it with a solid coloured outfit.
5. Makeup for monochrome
If your outfit is too monochrome-y (too many black and white stripes or prints), go for subtle makeup. However, if one shade dominates more, opt for bold eye makeup or a matte red lipstick. Many celebrities have been rocking the latter look lately.
